So, I work on the advertising for a luxury automobile account, and we’re having a conference call today with the various agencies that handle diversity advertising for our client. It has been decided that the CEO character of an upcoming commercial will be played by a prestigious looking black man.
The other character is a young businessman who wishes to impress the CEO. Naturally, the question is asked about what ethnicity he will be.
“An appropriately styled general market person,” our creative director answered.
Is that the longest way of saying “white guy” you’ve ever heard, or what?
